Eid al Adha- ohvripüha

Eid Mubarak for everybody. This holiday marks the end of Hajj. This is a pilgrimage that Muslims make to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. And it marks Ibrahim's obedience to God that we celebrate (Ibrahim was asked to sacrifice his son Ishmail, but last minute God sent a ram to be sacrificed instead).

I did a sheep craft with my children on this day. To make it more interesting than just cutting, coloring and gluing; I hid cut out lamb shapes around the house for the kids to find. We called it a "Sheep hunt". After finding all the lambs, we colored a barn and fence; glued them on the paper as they liked; and colored the grass around. Here are the pictures:

Eid Mubarak koikidele. See puha tahistab palverannaku loppu Mekkas, Saudi Araabias.
